;Explain the MAIN IDEA(S) for the development of your responses
My main idea for my personal investigation is close up.
I chose this topic because I like looking objects up close to see all the small details
I will be looking at things like buildings, fruit and nature.
During this project I will be looking at many different artists with different styles.
I will also look at photographers and turning their style of photographer into art pieces using different media.
Outline your PLAN(S) for the development of your work
During this project my plan is to explore different media, some that I am comfortable with, e.g. pencil and acrylic paint, and media that I rarely use like charcoal and ink.
Also I will use collages and mixed media.
I will use different media like the ones I’ve mentioned on every artists that I will look at, e.g. Georgia O’Keeffe paints enlarged flowers using oil paints, so I would use oil paint or something close like acrylic paint.
Other media I would use for the try outs would be coloured pencils and coloured pastels.
Describe the CONTEXT (influences, purposes and meanings) of your work
During this project I will look at different this close up such as building, people and nature. I will be looking at different artist and photographers like Georgia O’Keeffe, Ian murphy, Jacky Parker, Darren gentle, Viera Kasmanova, Dawn Eaton and Dennis wojkiewicz.
I will look at these artists as I their technique and the way they use colours to make the piece look eerie or vibrant.
I will use photography as I like the way they use aperture to focus on the subject matter and blurs the background so the subject stands out.
I will use digital imaging to manipulate and intensify my photographs and work as it would allow me to zoom in on areas then I recreate it with various media.
REFLECT on your work critically as it progresses and on its completion
During this project I will expand my range of media to develop my skills that I already have as I mainly use pencil and acrylic paint although I have used a wide variety of media during my first three months on the course.
I would like to develop my skills in print making as it is a good technique as you can blend and add more than one colour onto the piece that you’re creating so I can make editions of work.
